Anti War Poem

I only ask of God

By Leon Gierco

I only ask of God
He won't let me be indifferent to the suffering
That the very dried up death doesn't find me
Empty and without having given my everything
I only ask of God
He won't let me be indifferent to the wars
It is a big monster which treads hardOn the poor innocence of people
It is a big monster which treads hard
On the poor innocence of people

I only ask of God
He won't let me be indifferent to the injustice
That they do not slap my other cheek
After a claw has scratched my whole body
I only ask of God
He won't let me be indifferent to the wars
It is a big monster which treads hard
On the poor innocence of people
It is a big monster which treads hard
On the poor innocence of people

Geroge W Bush

George W Bush

Every American President tries to leave a legacy behind.Something that people can remember of their time in the White House. Woodrow Wilson left the legacy of of the 14 points created the league of nations and shaped the treat of Versailles. Many years after him Lyndon B Johnson came to the DC and was remembered for his super social reforms (Great Society)which changed and shaped American society for ever. He introduced Medicare, Civil right laws and Medicaid.

George W Bush took his presidential office in 2000, The world had then just experienced the new Millennium, people expected a change with his presidency. With his fathers history in the white house, people expected George to hit the ground running. His father would have given him vital advice on how to be a good president one would have thought. Maybe George would introduce great social changes like Johnson, such as a welfare service which Americans so desperately want. Maybe their will be great economic change, ensuring economic growth for the long term.
Unfortunately, recently George W Bush has decided to focus his legacy on the Arab/ Israeli problem. Great idea George thumbs up. For a man that probably would not get a middle management position in a city firm, has no charisma and a very ideological view on life . He wants to solve the biggest problem on Earth. Guess what and he wants to try to solve it in 8 months before his time in DC is up.What a lame duck president ?

So many politicians and thinkers have tried to solve the Arab/Israeli problem, the problem that is a scar on this great planet. George W now wants to have a go, he wants a legacy.I do not understand he tried to make the world a safe place by eliminating terrorism. He tried to solve vigilante terrorism by using state terrorism. You can not solve terrorism by state terrorism George. Terrorism does not stop terrorism. He wants to stop terrorism by terrorism innocent children and families in the Iraq.If he wanted a legacy when he was elected why did he not focus on eliminating poverty. Every 20 seconds a young child dies in Africa, not because they are suffering from long term illnesses but just because they cant get a enough food to eat. This makes me feel sick. We are so advanced yet people are still dieing of lack of food. What has happened to us on this lame planet. Do we not have any morals or ethics?.If I was George and I was elected president in 2000, in the most richest and technological advanced country in the world. I would produce a Great Marshall Plan to eliminate poverty in Africa. Not spoon feed them, like a mother feeding her child. But just helping them in education. Africans do not need us to tell them them what a poor state they are in and spoon feed them. They want to help themselves. No one likes to be feel inferior and dejected.

Instead George W wants to solve the headache that is the middle east. George don't you think you have done enough in that vicinity all ready ?

Allah(God) answers your Prayers?

Let me start by saying that Allah just means God in Arabic. God = Allah and vice- versa. People often assume that Muslims have a different God to God. Allah just means God in Arabic. Just thought I will stop the confusion. Even Arab Christians use Allah in their prayers rather then the English word God, because they speak Arabic.

ALLAH/GOD answers prayers ? Don't believe me read on, go on I dare yeah .

Allah /God Answers... A young man had been to Wednesday Night Class of Quranic Studies. The Mualim (teacher)had shared about listening to Allah and obeying Allah through intuition.

The young man couldn't help but wonder, 'Does Allah still speak to people through intuition?'After Lessons, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how Allah had led them in different ways and that at the end you'll know it was Allah Who has directed you.It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, 'Allah...If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey.'

As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, 'Allah is that you?' He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk came into his head.'Okay, Allah, in case that is you, I will buy the milk.' It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.

As he passed Seventh Street , he again felt the urge, 'Turn Down that street.'This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection.Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street .. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.Half jokingly, he said out loud, 'Okay, Allah, I will.'

He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi-commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.

Again, he sensed something, 'Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street.' The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. 'Allah, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I
will look stupid.' Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk. Finally, he opened the door, 'Okay Allah(SWT), if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here.'

He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, 'Who is it? What do you want?' Then the door opened before the young man could get away. The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. 'What is it?'The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, 'Here, I brought this to you.'The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway. Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face.

The man began speaking and half crying, 'We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking Allah(SWT) to show me how to get some milk.' His wife in the kitchen yelled out, 'I ask him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?'

The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that Allah (SWT) still answers prayers.

Have a nice day!

Arsene Wenger's Transfers

Transfer History

From looking at Arsene Wenger's transfer history at Arsenal F.C he has to undoubtedly one of the best mangers in the beautiful game. He has made some of the biggest profits on his players and sold them at the right time to benefit Arsenal F.C. Lets take Nicholas Anelka for example, Wenger signed him at the mere age of 17 from Paris St German for the fee of £500,000. After making Anelka a world renowned super star sold him to F.C Real Madrid for the amazing fee of £23,000,000. The money from this transfer help Arsenal F.C to make the super Arsenal Colony fitness centre/ training ground.

In terms of buying and selling he is the best manger in the world, he even makes profit too. He has a better record then Sir Alex, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, and even the new England manager Fabio Capello. He just has that amazing talent of purchasing talent and letting them move on when their talent diminishes.Look at Marc Overmars sold to F.C. Barcelona in the summer of 2000 for £25, 000, 000. If you look at his career after Arsenal F.C his career has declined. This is same for Lauren, Petit, Anelka, Kanu, Lyungberg ,Cygan, Wright and F. Jeffers. It should be noted to that he has made some awful signings to such as Wright, Reyes, F. Jeffers and Cygan.

Here is a spreadsheet of Arsene Wenger's signings since he took over it makes interesting reading.

Why do Muslim Women where the headscarf ?

Why do Muslim Women where the headscarf ?

Covering up is liberating ............

(this article is tarken from the http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/living/hijabliberating.shtml)

As a Muslim woman wearing a headscarf, I am now, more so than ever, regarded as an object of suspicion, a potential traitor to Britain and all it stands for.
But most people probably think I'm stupid too. What self-respecting girl brought up in the Land of Choice would choose to wear the get-up of an Afghan under Taliban rule? They think I'm either forced into wearing what is technically called hijaab, or I am completely brainwashed by a barbaric ideology of yesteryear. I am neither of these. I chose to wear the hijaab without parental consent, and Islam is more a part of this society today than it was 1400 years ago.
There are of course, the benefits. Namely the weather - have you noticed how most heat is lost through the head? The headscarf is able to reduce that significantly - and in such a country as Britain where the weather is invariably cold and windy, not to mention wet, this is a great blessing, for which headscarf wearers all over the country are eternally grateful to a most foresighted God.
Sometimes, and this is between you and me, I think perhaps if I wear something intentionally revealing, maybe the dashing young man who joins me daily on my commute to work will notice me. But then my rational brain exerts itself, and once more overpowers the scheming one. Do I want some random guy, who probably has awful eating habits and never picks up the tab, to make a move on me? Chances are he's okay for the odd night out until you start to mention something about commitment and cautiously ask 'where is this going?' at which he disappears. And I am a very lazy person - I don't want the hassle of having to dress up over and over again to attract countless men on the off chance that one of them might be Mr Right.
I would much rather be appreciated for who I am beneath the skin, and be valued for my intellectual prowess rather than the size of whatever body part happens to be coveted at that moment. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that even though my body does not in the least resemble Kate Moss's, and my face is nowhere near as gorgeous as Claudia Schiffer's, it doesn't matter.
Perhaps if people placed less importance on physical appearance and more on perfecting character and personality, the world would be a better place, and the very real and depressing problems of bulimia and anorexia would be less common. The hijaab is more than a symbol of being a Muslim woman, it is more than an observance of religious practise - it has a wider purpose. Many women might believe that the hijaab is actually there to subjugate women, and to keep us in the background, when in fact its purpose and its effect is the exact opposite.
When women plaster their faces in make-up, spend hundreds of pounds on the perfect hairstyle, or spend hours just deciding what to wear to bring in the milk, one has to question motives. Women are better than this. Self worth and esteem ought not to be boosted simply because a hair-style is by Toni and Guy rather than a local independent. Women shouldn't be made to feel that unless they are size 8 and have perfect legs they are not worth considering for love and companionship. Any society that dictates these rules, surely it is their women who are chained and subjugated to a male ideal of the perfect woman? As a Muslim, I am taught to believe that being neat, tidy and clean is important when it comes to appearance.
Growing up with two cultures at my disposal, I believe I have a unique window to view both rather more accurately than your average woman on the street. Being a witness to both, and living both, I believe that I would not change who I am even if the Kurt Geiger label were placed in my left hand and the Bobby Brown label in my right. My appearance is only as important to me as much as it allows me to carry on being me, and only me

Patience Takes Courage

Patience

It is a small word with a big meaning.Just say the word, it brings many things to mind. A patient person is a courageous person. Patience takes courage, as it is extremelydifficult to obtain. You have to be brave to have patience. When you have trials and tribulations, be patient we should not complain as this is better for us. Patience is a virtue as the common saying goes, how true is this statement. If we look back in history, great people were patient people. Moses (peace be upon him ) had patience, when Pharaoh was terrorising his people. He actually when to Pharaoh many a times to try to prevent him from his wicked ways, he was patient. Look at Gandhi he did not resort to violence however, was patient and got what he wanted in the end. From looking at the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) he was patient to. This is what we need in our world now, patience. Many a times when something happens to us, which is not good.We rush into reactionary actions which is not the best thing to do. We never have patience and think clearly, and end up with even bigger problems. How many times has this happened to us ? Countless times

Shaykh Hamza Yusuf on Patience:
“It is important to look at the life of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and know that no one faced greater tribulation. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم lived to see all of his children buried, except for Fatima. How many people experience that in their lifetime? Out of six children, he saw five of them perish. His father died before his birth. His mother died when he was just a boy. His guardian grandfather then died. When he received his calling, he saw his people turn against him with vehemence and brutality. People who had once honored him now slandered him, calling him a madman, liar, and sorcerer. They stalked him and threw stones at him until he bled. They boycotted him and composed stinging invectives against him. He lost his closest friends and relatives, like Hamza, who was killed on the battlefield. His beloved wife Khadija after 25 years of blissful marriage died during the Prophet’s صلى الله عليه وسلم most difficult moment. Abu Talib, his protecting uncle, also died. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was the target of 13 assassination attempts. How many people have faced all of that? Not once in a single hadith is there a complaint from him–except when beseeching his Lord.”
[Excerpted from Purification of the Heart by Shaykh Hamza Yusuf]

What Great Relgions say on Patience

They are the ones who receive guidance." (2:155-157)Holy Quran
"Be patient, for your patience is with the help of God." (16:127) Holy Quran
